First we started off as strangers. Exchanging our first “hello, my name is _____.” and an awkward smile. Hung out with my friends to see you there unexpectedly. We got to know eachother. Talking a bit more each and every time. Then along the lines we exchanged numbers, started planning when we were going to chill next. We became really good friends. We laughed, giggled, shared inside jokes to the point where no one but us would understand what we were talking about. We would talk for hours, pillow talk night after night from dusk till dawn. Not caring that we have school the next day, not caring about the giant eye bags it’s going to leave us. I thought we had a good thing going. I started developing feelings. Started looking at you in a different way. Thinking you felt the same way. But that’s the thing. You didn’t feel the same way. You thought of us simply as best friends. I fell for you. We clicked, but you never noticed. We pillow talked, texted 24/7, had our unforgettable moments, but it didn’t mean anything. Our playful name calling, wrestling on my bed, introducing you to all my friends, it was all normal. All of this. All this couple shit we do, all this hanging out, being super close apparently meant nothing. Cause in his eyes, it was just us being us, no more than just best friends.
